2022 Pakistan Super League (also known as PSL 7 or for sponsorship reasons HBL PSL 2022) will be the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. The league is scheduled to begin on 27 January 2022, with the final to take place on 27 February.
On 24 July 2021, PCB announced that the seventh season of PSL will be held in January and February 2022 with all matches taking place in Pakistan. Karachi will host 15 matches at National Stadium while Lahore will host 19, with the finals to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. HBL Pakistan retained the title sponsorship of the PSL for 4 more years till 2025. Since the previous deals concluded in 2021 after a three-year run, the new broadcast partners for next two editions will be PTV Sports and A Sports, while Daraz will be the livestreaming partner.
Squads
The players’ draft took place on 12 December 2021, while a replacement draft will take place on 7 January 2022. On 5 January, it was reported that all matches will be played as per schedule under strict standard operating procedures. In case if more than 8 out of 20 players in a squad test positive for COVID-19, each teams are advised to prepare additional players for replacement in bio-secure bubble; including those from South Africa due to cancellation of 2022 Mzansi Super League.

Venues
On 30 December 2021, National Command and Operation Center issued that fully vaccinated people above age 12 will be allowed to gather at full capacity in the stadiums, after lifting the restrictions of COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan, though worried about surge of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant.
